Bei teilweise heftigem Wind machten wir uns auf den Weg nach Gullfoss. Wir w\u00e4hlten dabei nicht die normale Route, sondern entschieden uns f\u00fcr die Fahrt durch die Hochebene \u00fcber die Strassen F209 und F208.<\/p>\n<p>Gleich zu Beginn machten wir vor Vik in Dyrholaey einen Stop. Mitten in der Ebene steht der Hj\u00f6rleifsh\u00f6fdi, ein bis zu 221m hoher Tuff-Block. Er lag nach der Eiszeit f\u00fcr lange Zeit als Insel vor der K\u00fcste, heute liegt er 2km im Landesinneren.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1766417244jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1766417244jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2042 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kurz bevor wir die Route 1 verliessen, tauchte mitten in der Ebene ein seltsamer Platz auf &#8211; Laufskalavarda. Hier soll um 900 ein Grossgut gestanden haben, welches bei einem Vulkanausbruch des Katla vernichtet worden ist. Ein nat\u00fcrlicher Lavah\u00fcgel diente als Erinnerung an diesen Ort und aus Tradition baute jeder Besucher hier eine kleine Steinpyramide f\u00fcr eine gute Weiterfahrt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1686532110jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1686532110jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2050 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nun verliessen wir die Route 1 und folgten der F209 auf einer Schotterpiste. Einsam tauchte eine Kirche in der Landschaft auf.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1092990262jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1092990262jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2049 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1502\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Weiter ging es durch eine wirklich spannende Landschaft.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-801156080jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-801156080jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2052 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1502\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Die F208 wurde immer schmaler und immer holpriger. Zum Gl\u00fcck begann die Sache ziemlich harmlos mit kleinen B\u00e4chlein. Irgendwann aber waren da schon ziemliche Gew\u00e4sser vor uns, die auch einiges an Wasser f\u00fchrten und man hatte keine Ahnung, wie tief das Wasser ist. Wir wagten es und hofften, dass unser 4&#215;4 diese Aktion gut \u00fcberstehen wird.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-173768412jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-173768412jpg.jpg\" title=\"\" class=\"alignnichts size-full wp-image-2055\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Zum Gl\u00fcck klappten alle Durchfahrten und unser 4&#215;4 machte einen guten Job. Die Farben in den Bergen wurden immer unglaublicher.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-917357932jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-917357932jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2060 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Endlich erreichten wir Landmannalaugar. An diesem Ort ist man nicht ganz alleine, wie wir feststellen mussten. Wir sahen Busse, Camping und viele Touristen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-237685086jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-237685086jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2062 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1502\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wir kamen zu einem ersten Parkplatz, der bereits komplett voll war. Weiter hinten sahen wir aber viele weitere Autos. Also beschlossen wir weiterzufahren. Dazu mussten wir 2 gr\u00f6ssere B\u00e4che durchfahren. Da wir nun schon \u00dcbung hatten, ging das ohne Probleme. Wir merkten aber, dass unsere Bachdurchfahrten aufmerksam beobachtet wurden &#8211; wir konnten uns das nicht erkl\u00e4ren, da wir ja von S\u00fcden diverse B\u00e4che durchfahren mussten.<br \/>\nBekannt ist der Ort f\u00fcr sein Naturbad in einem Fluss. Auch die umliegenden Berge zeigen wieder alle Farben.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-963022072jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-963022072jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2063 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1502\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wir machten uns auf den weiteren Weg Richtung Norden auf der F208. Ab Landmannalaugar hatten wir keine einzige Bachdurchfahrt mehr und schon bald kam eine geteerte Strasse.
