Die Fahrt f\u00fchrte uns \u00fcber den Ort Egilsstadir an den See Lagarfljot. Das Wetter hatte sich zum Gl\u00fcck beruhigt und es zeigte sich sogar blauer Himmel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1623772773jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1623772773jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1984 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Der Wasserfall Hengifoss ist vom Parkplatz in einem Fussmarsch von gut 40 Minuten zu erreichen. H\u00f6henunterschied betr\u00e4gt gute 300m und es ist ein gem\u00fctlicher Spaziergang. Beim Aufstieg kommt man zuerst am Litlanesfoss vorbei. Eindr\u00fccklich sind die Basalts\u00e4ulen in der Felswand. Diese entstehen beim Abk\u00fchlen eines Lavastroms.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-666680718jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-666680718jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1985 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1502\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1544924345jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1544924345jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1986 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Der Hengisfoss hat eine Fallh\u00f6he von ca. 120m und liegt in einer Felseinbuchtung. Auffallend sind die roten Streifen in der Felswand. Diese stammen von Erdschichten zwischen Vulkanausbr\u00fcchen. Durch das enthaltende Eisen wird die Erde rot gef\u00e4rbt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-279685376jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-279685376jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1988 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1502\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-439378535jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-439378535jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1989 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1500\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Das Tal wird intensiv f\u00fcr die Landwirtschaft genutzt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1108424195jpg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.beathis.ch\/cgi\/Wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/wp-image-1108424195jpg.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1990 alignnone size-full\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1502\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Weiter ging unsere Reise auf das Hochplateau mit gut 700m\u00fcM. Laugarfell liegt mitten auf diesem Plateau und ist Ausgangspunkt f\u00fcr viele Wanderungen. Das Hostel bietet Unterkunft und Verpflegung. Wir g\u00f6nnten uns eine Entspannung im Natur-Hotpot &#8211; ganz alleine. Wir bekamen von unserer Gastgeberin den Tip auf dem Campingplatz die Waschmaschine zu benutzen. Also starteten wir die Aktion. Es dauerte dann eine gute Stunde, bis die W\u00e4sche mit Tumbler durch war.
